Los Angeles stretches between hills, dense neighbourhoods, palm-lined streets and the Pacific, with the light changing the feel of the city throughout the day. I came to visit a friend and stayed in the Hollywood Hills, spending most of the trip driving around and exploring without much of a plan. The photographs in this collection move between city views, quiet residential streets, Santa Monica, palms and evening light — the parts of Los Angeles that felt most distinctive to me and that I kept coming back to after I got home.
